Marita Redondo: I'm a mother, wife, teacher, and artist. These make for a full life; one of learning every day! Teaching art to young people gives me energy. They never cease to amaze me. As for myself, I will never lose interest in creating paintings that express the beauty of people, but my new "people" are the animals I see in the countryside; my new venture is plein-air painting. I recently moved from San Diego to Napa. Living on the coast of Southern California was paradise, but now I'm experiencing the beauty of the landscape in a whole new way! Everywhere that I drive through the wine country and the northern coastline are breath-taking scenes. In the past, I concentrated on the tonal aspects of painting. Now, I'm studying the Hawthorne and Henche theory of color and have entered an exciting phase in my creative expression.
